Goat Milk Herd Share

Our Goat Herd Share program will be available again in the Spring, we are drying off our goats and while we place the buck in with the girls, we prefer not to milk them as the milk starts to taste "buck-ish." We hope to open the shares back up in March/April.

What does it cost? Goat shares will be MONTH to MONTH only, similar to the Rent a Cow program.  This is because of the breeding and kidding (birthing) season and we will NOT have milk available during the winter months (October-March).

  • $10 Herd Buy In
  • $10 Jar Deposit (refundable when all the jars and lids are returned in good usable condition)
  • $28 Boarding Fee for the month
  • Total Start Up Cost = $48
  • Monthly Renewal Fee = $38

This entitles you to 1/2 gallon per week.

  • Fresh wholesome goat milk contributes to the strong and healthy development of growing children.

  • Goat milk and cow milk taste about the same.

  • It takes 25 minutes to digest goat's milk compared to 3 HOURS to digest cow's milk.

  • 65% of the world PREFERS goat milk to cow milk (this is down from 80% in the last 30 years as industrial farming took hold)
