What is a CSA?

CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture.  You are buying a “share” or “membership” into our farm.  In return you will be receiving a selection of our meats every other week through the season.

Benefits for you?

· Get to know your farmer

· Try different cuts of meat with new recipes provided by us in our exclusive members newsletter

· Less storage space than buying 1/4 or 1/2 a steer or hog

· Special farm events and privileges just for members including discounts when you pick up your meat and getting in ahead of everyone else for special orders such as lambs & turkeys

Every other week as designated you will be able to come out to the farm and pick up your bag of meat and visit the farm.  Seasonal items such as jams and vegetables may be available as well during these times.

What happens if you cannot pick up your meat? Either let us know at least a week ahead of time and you will get it on your next pick up date or have a friend pick it up for you.  If you do not make arrangements or let us know, your share will be forfeit for that week.

What Will I Get?

When you order your share of our Meat CSA you will get a wonderful selection of meat from our Black Angus Steers and our Pasture Raised Pork.

Your Meat will be frozen when picked up.  Your share will contain a mixture of various meats.  Due to the nature of buying a "share" of an animal, you will not be able to exchange any of meat that is included in your share.

We will be offering 2 different main options with a couple of extra add-in options:

Family Package

· Includes $90 retail pricing of meat every 2 weeks at approximately a 20% discount

· Minimum of 4 pounds of ground beef per pick up

These are the days that we will have the scheduled pick ups at the farm in Purcellville.

ANSWERS TO QUESTIONS WE RECEIVED IN THE LAST 24 HOURS: 8 months of food, 18 pick up days.  For the "Family" Package you are paying $72.17 per pick up - saving your family $321!!  For the "Just the 2 of Us" Package you are paying $56.06 per pick up - saving your family $251 off retail!!

We are prepaying for the full 8 months, this helps us plan our season, get butchering dates scheduled and buy/breed the animals we need to keep everyone supplied.

* If you chose the monthly payment options, you will be charged the amount shown immediately and then for the remaining number of months on the 1st of each month (for the 3 payment - 2 more times).  If you choose to pay in full, we CANNOT accept credit card payments and you must mail in a check within 10 business days to hold your spot as space is limited.
